Click on Log In link anywhere on the site and then click on the Forgot Password link. Then follow instructions to reset your password. You will receive a new system-generated password shortly. Use this new password to access the site. You can change this password to something different after you log in.

To provide additional security, a "time out" feature will automatically end your session if you have been inactive for an extended period of time (approx. twenty minutes). If this occurs, simply log back in to your account. NOTE: You will lose any unsaved activities when a 'time out' occurs.

Yes. When you are done entering event information, press Save as Draft button to save it. This will save the event but not make it open to the public. You can always come back later and edit and publish event when you are ready.

Yes, absolutely. Simply login to our site, navigate to your event and click 'Modify' button at the bottom of the screen.

There is no direct means of removing an event from our site. You can change event status to Draft and it will not show up to the public. You can also change event dates to something in the past to prevent from showing up in listings.

Yes. You must register for membership to post an event.

Yes, we offer multi-event "Event packs" that reduce event posting price.

In the process of posting your event, you will be prompted for event options. For a small fee you can select the "Featured Events" option. Your event posting will have a special indicator making it stand out. In addition, it will appear in the "Featured Events" banner box. This banner box is prominently shown on the Front Page, and also rotates on multiple high profile and high traffic locations throughout the site.

Log in and go to the registration setup page for your event. Click on the Attendee Roster link on the left and select Active Attendees tab. Click on the $ icon to the right next to the registration that you would like to refund.

Once the event date has passed, it will no longer show up in the list of upcoming events. However, events are never removed for historical purposes, so users can always see events and their associated content.

Nothing!!! You can post and promote as many events as you'd like. There could be additional costs if you decide to utilize our other services, like surveys, advanced marketing/reporting, etc.

Members have the option to pay by credit card or Paypal. Payment is the last step in the event posting process and will not occur until you have had the opportunity to preview your event and check it for accuracy.

The files remain on our site indefinitely unless removed or de-activated by you. You can only remove files if there have been no downloads for that file. Otherwise, you can deactivate the file which will prevent any further viewing/dowloading.

The number of files you can upload and their size depends on your membership tier. You can see the breakdown of these benefits in the Membership page.

This occurs if you are attempting stream audio that does not comply with the allowable sampling rates. Make sure that your audio complies with the sampling rates allowed by Flash streaming audio, which are: 44.1, 22 and 11kHz. These numbers refer to the number of samples per second, not to be confused with the bitrate (which is measured in Kbps, e.g., commonly seen as 128 KB).

The answer is "whatever you want". You can upload any type of document, audio, or video files to our site. Audio and video files are the only types that can be played online. Other documents can be downloaded for viewing.

We follow refund policy set by the event organizer. Please review the email confirmation you received (or look at the registration page) for specific refund instructions. We only refund tickets purchased via credit card and only if specifically instructed to do so by the event organizer

Definitely. Our flexible engine allows you to offer individual and group discounts to registrants. You can make those discounts automatic and place a limit on how many can be used.

Yes. You can refund either entire registration amount of partial. Log in and go to the registration setup page for your event. Click on the Attendee Roster link on the left and select Active Attendees tab. Click on the $ icon to the right next to the registration that you would like to refund. NOTE: You will still be liable for credit card fees imposed to us by our payment gateway.

Yes. You can register multiple people for an event if the event organizer has allowed this option. You can also instruct the system to send tickets to each individual you register. You will also get a confirmation email with tickets for each person on the list

Yes. Our powerful report and management options give you the ability to view attendee roster, sales/earnings information, registration details, and much more. Simply log into your account and navigate to your registration.

Absolutely. You can use our system to register someone for a free event. Simply mark the tickets 'Free' and you will incur no charges.

No. You only pay fees for tickets purchased via credit card. Tickets purchased offline or at-the-door are FREE and do not incur any charges

Log into your account and go to the event you set up. You can search for it by name/event id or see it in the list of your upcoming events. From there, click on the Registration menu on the left side to get to the main registration page.

You have the option to be immediately notified when a new registration occurs. You can toggle this option (on/off) in the registration setup screen and an email will get generated to you the instant a new registration is placed.

If you use our gateway for credit card processing, we will mail you a check twice a month, provided you've accrued $100 in that period. If you use your own gateway, the money gets deposited directly into your account.

You will only incur charges for tickets purchased via credit card. There are two types of fees that will be imposed: Credit Card Passthrough fee and My Event Guru's handling fee. First charge is the one that credit card processing facility imposes on the transaction and the second is our low fee that we charge for using our registration platform. However, we only charge fee for tickets purchased via credit card. If you are hosting a free event or allow people to pay offline or at-the-door, you will incur no fees for those tickets.

Our system allows you to create a completely customized registration page with unlimited number of questions. You can create questions ranging from simple text entry to radio buttons, check boxes, multi-select lists, etc. We will keep track of all users' answers and present them to you in an easy-to-read report.

We allow attendees to pay via credit card, offline, or at-the-door for their tickets. The actual payment options available for a specific event will be defined by the event organizer.

You can create an unlimited number of tickets you like. Each ticket can have different expiration date, cost, availability limit and discounts applicable to it. For example "Student ticket @ $25 expiring week before the event", "Full price Member ticket @ $50 payable at the door", etc

We take Visa, Master Card, and American Express. We also offer the ability to pay for tickets offline.

No. We do not distribute, share, or sell your personal information to anyone. We use your information to send you alerts and to communicate with you in general based on the preferences indicated by you.

No we do not. We simply use the credit card information you provided to securely communicate with our payment gateway to authorize and settle the transaction. We do not keep credit card numbers, expiration dates, or any other credit card information in our database.

Every secure page will have 'https' in the URL and will display a 'padlock' image. Some browsers display this image in the status bar at the bottom; others in the URL. Sometimes padlock image might not be displayed even though URL is secure. When that happens, right click on the page and select Properties. Information in the tab will confirm that the page is secure.

This is completely up to you. You have full control over what to share and with whom. You can choose to list yourself in member directory, share your contact informationand/or resume, allow others to contact you, and specify communication preferences.
